The Great Wall of China

The Great Wall of China is 21 196 km long.

Some part of the wall are six metres wide and eight metres high.

The Great Wall of China was built in the 7th Century B.C.

It protect the north of China of the residents of the actual Mongolia for the emperor  Qin Shi Huangdi, famous for the terracotta soldiers.

It goes from Korea to the Gobi Desert.

We only preserve a 30% of the original Great Wall (4000 km).

It was declared World Heritage in 1987.

The Great Wall of China goes through seventeen cities.

Some part of its are in bad condition or deteriorated but other part are in a good  state, thanks to the Chinese state.

In ancient times, the Great Wall of China was called the Wall of Ten Thousand Li.
